2015 is the year for Funky Hair
To be more specific, ombré is back with a bit of funk for 2015:
There’s a hot new hair color trend in town, and it’s saturating the tresses of celebrity finest.
In 2014 it is absolutely clear that ombre was the trend, the in style. So whats its plans for 2015 – well the hot new color trend of this year might just be ecaille (tortoiseshell). Think darker highlights paired with golden, rich caramel tones.
Here at Gill Maiden we know that Ecaille was a big trend in the later seasons of 2014 and we see it ruling the catwalk until spring.
With it’s warm browns, honeys, and ambers just like a tortoiseshell comb. Funking up that hair with different shades really adding texture and a look that stands out from the crowd. Blondes are more golden, with a few babylights worked into these tones to create the sublet dimension.
To achieve the look, we focus on a few bolder, face-framing pieces in the front, complimented by softer, lighter painted pieces all around.
So if you want a look that will really stand you out from the crowd, add some funk to your style, and make you look fresh from the catwalk, book your appointment with Gill Maiden in any of our salons, Blythe Bridge Hair Salon, Longton Hair Salon, Newcastle Hair Salon or Stone Hair Salon.
What else do we predict will be hot in 2015?.
Its all about colour there has been a real trend with platinum hair – this will be sticking around for 2015!!
Even the guys are trying to get in on this trend—think Adam Levine last year and just recently, Justin Bieber!
Meanwhile, reds will be deeper, richer shades of auburn—think Emma Stone, Scarlett Johansson, and brand new Clairol Color Ambassador Christina Hendricks, for hair.
